Puppets!

Hand Puppets: These puppets are made from old sweaters that shrink in the wash, as well as other material scraps and bits. I stuff them with shoulder pads that my grandmother pulled out of clothes. I also use cardboard, thread, corks, hot glue, and whatever people give me to play with.  Each puppet is handmade, unique, and has its own personality.

Shadow Puppets: We’ve been inspired by the work of Richard Bradshaw to create some of our own tricks to make shadow puppets move in dynamic and surprising ways.

We built the puppets in this video performance!

Parade Puppets: Some of our parade puppets are giant, some are made entirely out of cardboard. They are all great experiments!

Some of these have been sold, and some are still used in LilySilly performances and workshops.
